this coffee has an awesome story behind it. Yulissa's family bought the 20-hectare property in the 1980s as pure jungle — no roads, no services. they planted coffee a few years later, but as prices fell and the government under-invested in coffee, the trees aged out and the family drifted back to city life in La Paz.
in 2019, Yulissa — barely out of high school — decided to revive the farm just as bolivian specialty coffee was gaining real momentum. between 2019–2021 she replanted the original 4 hectares and added 3 more. Yulissa has helped breathe new life into her family's farm, transforming it into one of the country's most celebrated specialty coffee producers. Her dedication to quality—from careful harvesting to meticulous washed processing—has earned recognition throughout Bolivia's coffee community and beyond.
this coffee is just a really comforting cup. You get notes of toffee, crème brûlée, and smooth cocoa right up front, with some nice hints of candied fruit and baking spice as it cools down. It’s a super clean, easy-drinking coffee. our first coffee from bolivia!
