This one's a gem from the high-elevation Gicumbi district of Northern Rwanda, where 1,277 smallholder farmers contributed cherry to the Rwamiko Washing Station. From there it went through a meticulous triple-washed process: floated, sorted, pulped, fermented overnight, washed, soaked, and dried on raised beds. That's a serious amount of care before it ever reached our roaster.
We keep it light to let all that clarity do its thing. In the cup, ruby grapefruit and cherry juice hit first — bright and juicy without ever feeling sharp — then settle into a clean, lingering black tea finish that's just so classic Rwanda. It's a Bourbon variety, so there's real sweetness underneath holding everything together. Approachable, clean, and genuinely hard to put down.
